How Can You Help?
 
Join us for our very busy Summer. All three libraries in the Library System are looking for volunteers!  Call Kristin at the HB Stamps Memorial Library in Rogersville 423.272.8710. Call Melissa at the Surgoinsville Public Library in Surgoinsville 423.345.4805. Call Maureen at the Church Hill Public Library in Church Hill 423.357.4591.
The HB Stamps Tuesday Night Knitters meet every Tuesday evening from 6:30PM until 7:30PM.

The Knitting Souls Together Knitting Group meets on Friday mornings at 9:30AM at the HB Stamps Library. This group is sponsored by the UT Extension. 
Teen Nights at the Library:
Church Hill Public Library will host several teen nights at the library.

The HB Stamps Library's Reading Groupies book discussion group is reading Heart in the Right Place by Carolyn Jourdan for June. You can pick up a copy of the book at the library and then join them on Thursday June 11 at 6:30PM for a lively discussion!

Job Training Center Grant
The Hawkins County Library System has received a grant for $7500 to set up and conduct classes to help the residents of Hawkins County brush up on their employement skills. We hope to offer such classes as Microsoft Office, Basic Computer skills, and/or how to fill out an application (anomg others).
 
There will be two informational sessions:
HB Stamps Library June 24th from 3:00PM until 5:00PM
Church Hill Public Library June 25th from 10:00AM until Noon.
 
This project is supported in whole by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through a federally-funded Library Services and Technology Act, as administered by the Dept. of State, Tennessee State Library and Archives.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY MEETINGS
Join the HB Stamps Memorial Library's Friends of the Library for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Thursday June 4th at 6:30PM. The Friends meet on the first Thursday of the month at the HB Stamps Library in Rogersville.
 
Join the Church Hill Public Library's Friends of the Library on Thursday June 18 at 10:30 AM at the Church Hill Library for a Coffee, Tea, & Talk. This month they will feature Marie Keith as their guest speaker.  
 
The Friends of the Church Hill Library will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday July 14th at 6:00PM at the Church Hill Public Library.
 
Not a member? Come to the meetings or stop by the library to join! 
Technology Grants
All three libraries in the Hawkins County Library System has received a Library Service and Technology Act Grant to help replace some of our older, worn out computers. This is a matching funds grant. Please call your local library to see how you can help.
