County since 1954. WRGS has always been owned and
operated locally by the Beal family.  Philip Beal has been
owner and manager since 1972.  Most of our employees
have been a part of the WRGS family for 10 to 30 years.
WRGS employees are active in the community and are
involved in their churches, civic clubs and local
organizations.  Our target audience is 25 to 54 years of age.
We take pride in being HOMETOWN RADIO

WRGS plays the great classic country music and today's country hits.  During the mid part of our broadcast day we feature the great southern gospel artists and many of our local and
regional gospel groups.  We feature the music preferred by over 70 PERCENT of Hawkins County residents!

We feature world and national news on the hour from the USA Radio Network.  Local news has always been our top priority.  Our reporters cover all county and city events and meetings.  The only newspaper
in our county is twice weekly, and we are known as "THE DAILY NEWS IN HAWKINS COUNTY!"

WRGS originates live play-by-play of all Cherokee High School football, boys and girls basketball, baseball and softball games.  We do selected games of other schools in our area.    We are "THE SOURCE FOR SPORTS!"
